SR-156 Slide Repair - Switzerland County, Indiana

The SR-156 Slide Repair project in Switzerland County, Indiana, represents a transformative effort to stabilize a 2,100-foot stretch of roadway between Turtle Creek Road and Wade Hill Road, east of Florence. This region has experienced ongoing erosion and instability, necessitating critical repair and reinforcement to address immediate safety concerns and ensure long-term infrastructure resilience.
In collaboration with Richard Goettle Inc., JD Fields & Company, Inc. supplied over 200 HP14x73 steel beams featuring custom-fabricated pockets for anchors. These durable materials, combined with advanced engineering techniques, play a vital role in fortifying the roadway and preventing future erosion.
This project highlights a shared dedication to improve Indiana’s transportation infrastructure, creating safer and more reliable roadways for the community.
